When to call, and when to send a request
Call if water is coming in, a ceiling is sagging, a limb is on the roof, or a patch of shingles blew off and the decking is showing. Tell us where the water shows up inside and whether anything is near wiring, so the roofer arrives ready to tarp or repair. While you wait, see what to do before the roofer arrives.
Send a request for repairs that can wait a day or two: a few missing shingles, a lifted ridge cap, a pipe boot you can see is cracked, or a dry stain you've been watching. We'll call you back to set a time.

What happens after you call
- A person answersDay or night, the call is picked up by a person, not a voicemail box. We take your name, the street or neighborhood and the best number for the roofer to call back.
- We work out how urgent it isWater dripping into a room, a sagging ceiling or a limb through the shingles goes first. A few missing shingles or an old stain you have been watching gets a visit at a time that suits you.
- A licensed roofer is sentWe send an independent roofer who is licensed and insured in Arkansas and works your side of town. On a night with lightning or high wind, the roofer climbs once it is safe and helps you protect the room until then.
- You see the problem and a written estimateThe roofer checks the roof and, where it can be reached, the attic, shows you photos of the failed boot, flashing or shingles, and puts the price in writing before any work starts. A tarp is priced on its own line.
What to have ready when you call
None of this is required to get help, but it lets the roofer arrive with the right materials for a tarp or a repair.
- The street address, or at least the city and nearest cross street.
- Where the water shows up inside, and whether it is dripping right now.
- Whether the ceiling is sagging or the water is near a light, outlet or appliance.
- Roughly how old the roof is, if you know, and whether it has been patched before.
- When it started: during a downpour, after a windy night, or on dry days too.
- For a rental, who can let the roofer in and the best number to reach them.

Not sure what kind of help you need? Start with what you see
You don't need roofing words. Say what you see and the person who answers sorts out the rest.
| What you see | What to say on the call | What happens next |
|---|---|---|
| Water coming in right now | "It's leaking now," which room, and whether water is near a light or outlet | Handled first: a tarp or patch once the weather allows, then the permanent roof leak repair. |
| Shingles in the yard after a windy night | How many pieces, which side of the house, and whether bare wood shows | Bare wood moves up the list. Dark underlayment showing usually means a scheduled missing shingle repair. |
| A ceiling stain you have watched for weeks | How long, whether it grows after rain, and whether it sits near a chimney or vent pipe | A visit that suits you. These often trace to flashing or a cracked pipe boot or soft roof decking. |
| A tenant reports a leak in a rental | Whether you are the owner, manager or tenant, and who opens the door and approves the work | The roofer sets the visit with that person. See the landlord roof leak checklist. |

Photos that help the roofer, taken from the ground and the attic
Good photos tell the roofer what to bring and where to look first. The roofer may ask to see them when calling to set a time, so keep them together on your phone.
- A wide shot of that side of the house, showing which slope and how high.
- Zoomed shots from the yard of missing tabs, a lifted ridge cap or chimney flashing.
- Shingle pieces that came down, front and back. Keep them for matching color and style.
- The attic above the stain, by flashlight: dark trails on the wood, wet insulation or rusty nail tips.
Take them safely
No roof, no ladder against the gutter. In the attic, step only on joists or a floored walkway, keep clear of wiring near wet insulation, and skip it on a hot July afternoon.
Questions about reaching us
Is it better to call or send the request form?
Call if water is coming in, the ceiling is sagging, or a limb is on the roof. The phone is answered 24 hours a day, and a call gets a roofer moving fastest. Use the form for repairs that can wait a day or two, such as a few missing shingles, a lifted ridge cap or a dry stain you want checked.
Do you answer the phone at night and on weekends?
Yes. The line at (773) 207-0769 is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, holidays included. How soon a roofer can be on the roof depends on the hour, the weather and how many calls are open, and we tell you honestly what to expect when you call.
Is there an office I can visit?
No. Little Rock Shingle Roofers is a service-area business, so there is no walk-in office. Everything starts with a phone call or the request form, and the roofer comes to your home in Little Rock or one of the nearby cities we cover.
What happens after I send the form?
Once the form is connected to our inbox, a person reads each request and calls you back to book a visit. Forms are for repairs that can wait. If water is coming in, don't wait for a callback: call (773) 207-0769 instead.
Do I need to be home when the roofer comes?
Not always. If the roofer needs the attic or the room where water shows, someone has to open the door. For an outside-only problem, such as a few missing shingles, mention any locked gate or dog on the call. Nothing starts until you approve the written estimate.
